Staff who do NOT teach any courses will set up and access Panopto differently from instructors and students (steps are listed later on this page).įor Viewer access, follow Steps 1-3 of the non-instructional staff directions.įor Creator access follow all of the non-instructional staff directions. Students using Blackboard are given Viewer access in Panopto and can only view videos, unless completing a Panopto Assignment. Instructors are given Creator access in Panopto which allows them to record, edit, and change video settings. Instructors and students should always access Panopto through Blackboard (steps are listed later on this page).
HOW TO UPLOAD A YOUTUBE VIDEO ONTO BLACKBOARD FOR MAC
Panopto for Windows and Remote Recorders must be upgraded to version 12.0.0 or above and Panopto for Mac to version 11.1.0 or above. Following the system upgrade, on July 21, Panopto client recording apps will also require updates. Details about new features will be published in early June. Panopto has announced upcoming downtime on June 25 while the system is upgraded to the latest release.
